CLOUDS – New project!

For this project, titled “Clouds”, our team at Imagine Draughting Services was tasked with transforming existing 2D CAD (.DWG) drawings into a complete 3D model and visual package.

🛠 Converting 2D to 3D

Using the provided DWG files, we began by importing the data into SolidWorks, where each part was accurately modelled and positioned to form a full 3D Assembly. The transition from flat technical drawings to a complete 3D structure allowed for better spatial understanding, design validation, and future adaptation.

📄 Manufacturing-Ready Documentation

Once the 3D model was approved, we generated a complete set of Manufacturing Drawings, including:

• 📐 Formed views
• 📄 Flat pattern DXF files for laser cutting
• 🧾 Fully dimensioned shop floor drawings

This ensured that the model could move seamlessly from digital design to physical production.

🎨 Visuals for Marketing

Using the same 3D model, we produced a range of high-quality rendered images for marketing purposes. We applied relevant logos, decals and finishes to reflect the final branding of the product — creating compelling visuals suitable for client presentations, catalogues or online promotion.
